5/5 Stars – Incredible Work and High Integrity, Even If They’re Hard to Catch! We recently used Southern Tree Experts to remove a 28-year-old Canary Date Palm from our front lawn. We had used them in the past and were thrilled to see they are still the same friendly, lightning-fast crew. Jamie gave us a very reasonable quote of $600. They brought heavy-duty equipment, cut the massive tree into two 1,000-pound sections, loaded them up mechanically, and ground down the stump, all in an incredible 25 minutes. The true test of their reputation came when we ordered a replacement Silver Palm from Pat’s Nursery. When Pat’s installation crew hit dense leftover roots, they couldn’t dig the hole. However, when the foreman heard Southern Tree Experts did the removal, he immediately smiled. He knew Jamie personally, had immense confidence in his work, and even offered to hold our new tree on his truck for the day just in case Jamie could swing by that day. If you work with Southern Tree Experts, you need to know that their communication can be a bit slow, likely because they are a highly in-demand crew servicing the entire Jacksonville area. I called the office on Friday, followed up on Monday and Tuesday, and hit the answering machine on Wednesday trying to coordinate the deeper root grinding. While the lack of immediate callbacks was a bit stressful, they proved their integrity in the end. On Wednesday, while I was out running errands, the office girl called to let me know Jamie had stopped by our house and ground out the roots as far as he possibly could. Thanks to Jamie following through, Pat’s Nursery was able to successfully plant our new tree two days later. Southern Tree Experts are honest, hardworking people who do fantastic work at a great price. They might not always give you a quick status update, but they will absolutely get the job done and stand by their work. Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience! When the first two trucks arrived, I was impressed. Then I saw more trucks converging on my property. It was quite a production! With 5 trucks and a dozen men, they got the job done efficiently in just a few hours. I agree with reviewer Ed McWhorter about the crew. They immediately fanned out across our 1.4 acre property; everyone knew their specialized role and performed it flawlessly. They worked well together and obviously there was a lot of trust among them because this is dangerous work. I can’t name the equipment or machines like Ed did, but it was fascinating to see men being elevated up to the top of trees. Watching the wood chipper was very satisfying! And we were happy they gave us the fragrant chippings for mulch. I was concerned about bird and squirrel nests, and was relieved to learn that they care about wildlife and take care not to disturb the little woodland critters. Before leaving they picked up the branches, raked and blew the entire property. I highly recommend Southern Tree Experts.

I was pleasantly pleased with the way in which I received my estimate to have a tree removed from my property. From the scheduling to the day they came out to my house, everything went flawlessly. Jamie and his crew took down the one tree in about an hour along with the clean up and they were prompt and professional. I would highly recommend Southern Tree Experts for their business. I have nothing but high praise for Jamie, his crew and this company.

This WILL be the best price you get for QUALIFIED and SAFE work. Jamie has a large and very conscientious crew. They were efficient and friendly and most of all, safe. The entire crew has excellent situational awareness. They even did work that I felt was above and beyond our agreed price. They left no trace. Other than a ground stump, I can’t prove they were ever here. It’s so nice to get a great value in today’s economy.

Southern Tree Experts (STE), are all that and more! I’d been trimming a tree that was growing over my porch roof for years. It was finally more than I could keep up with. I got a mailer from STE and scheduled a free estimate. Chris showed up on time and offered a reasonable price to remove two problem trees, including complete debris removal and site cleanup. On the designated day, his 8 man crew showed up, in four spotless trucks, with a 4wd man lift, chipper shredder, and a bobcat with a claw. Every one had all their safety gear on the whole time on site. Watching them work together, it was obvious all knew their job. May sound corny, but it was like watching a US Navy flight deck crew during air ops. Lots of dangerous stuff going on and everybody working together and watching out for each other. Two hours later, the site was clean, raked, and except for the two short stumps and some sawdust, you could hardly tell they’d been there. My roof and RV carport were even blown off! ( I declined the stump grinder service). I plan on calling STE for future work by my power line next spring. Southern Tree Experts Llc are the best!

We have hired Southern Trees on several occasions. They are great!! The team arrived and both trees were removed, and the area cleaned within 3 hours. Even dropped another branch so that my husband wouldn’t have to get on the ladder. They were very professional and friendly. Will definitely call them for other tree removals.

Called Jamie a few weeks ago to do a variety of tree work in my yard. They trimmed two large Silver Date palms, three live oaks, and a Japanese Maple. Their equipment and crew is top notch. They are very organized and professional. Their clean up is impeccable. They even blew the leaves out of the eves on my roof where they didn’t work. I would most highly recommend. When the crew arrived(on time) ***** took them around and showed them the trees to come down. These guys safely and with expertise took 3 huge trees and 2 small ones down. 3 of the trees were close to the house. It was great team work all the way. They were finished in 3 and a half hours. I thought it was going to be at least a day maybe two. Again if not for the **** WORK it would have taken so much longer. Not one limb or one leaf was left on the ground. Thank you! They have all my work when needed.

First time using this company but not the last. They were great from responding quickly to quote the work and the crew showed up with everything need for the job. One large tree removed and 3 other large trees with large limbs removed. Excellent work. Excellent crew. Never had a tree service clean up the way they did. Completely satisfied with Southern Tree Experts. I needed a relatively large water oak cut down and the stump ground. Jamie (owner), responded quickly, assessed the situation and gave me a very competitive quote. The crew showed up on time with all the typical heavy equipment needed to complete the job. The crew worked diligently and completed the job in one hour. They picked up all the debris and blew off my driveway, sidewalk, even my roof. They loaded everything into a large truck using a claw and left my yard cleaner than when they arrived. I highly recommend Southern Tree Experts. I’ll use them for all my future tree work.

We had a live oak with a root ball spreading too close to our house and the sidewalk in our subdivision. The response, estimate and performance were outstanding. The top equipment and expertise. Tree, stump and straggler roots were all removed. No damage to adjacent plants, bushes, sagos, mailbox or house. Thank you Jamie and the Southern Tree team!!

Southern Tree recently removed a huge diseased pine tree that was secretly planning to destroy our house in the next big storm. Although the weather on demolition day was beyond horrible, Jamie Green and his Southern Tree crew showed up as scheduled. The army of clean and well maintained Southern trucks arrived on time, completed the job for the estimated cost and cleaned up like it never happened. Dropping trees, especially big ones, while trying to save the existing yard plants is hard work and yesterday was no exception. Vines, undergrowth, well heads, and a driving rain made yesterday’s job a huge challenge. Limbs hung up, vines grabbed saws and the ground was a moving nightmare. In all of this controlled chaos it was fascinating to see Jamie’s crew maintain their discipline and their focus. While this may not be a big deal for others, my wife and daughter watched the removal of this giant pine and at no time, regardless of what went wrong, did they ever feel the need to cover their ears or go back inside because of language. Jamie Green owns Southern Tree Experts and is always right there among his men, leading by example. This young man was raised right and it shows in his manners, his humble presence and his commitment to do the job right. Jamie Green and Southern Tree are a perfect example of how business should be done. We have used the Green family for several tree jobs over the years, and while I suppose you might possibly find someone who will cut a tree for a few dollars less, you will not find anyone who will do a tree job better. The old saying of “you get what you pay for” will always be true and with Southern Tree Experts you get big value for a job done right.

These guys are the real deal! They were professional and careful. Their equipment was top notch. I was very impressed with their off road lift. They completely removed a sweet gum tree that was growing over my garage, had exposed roots and was very close to my neighbors house. They safely removed the tree, the stump and all of the roots. I was very impressed with the stump grinding.
They also did a full trim on my live oak trees in the front yard and back. It looks amazing and is easier to cut the grass now. They did a great job cleaning up the mess and left my yard better than they found it.
I would not hesitate to have them back!

BRAZO ZULU! A job well down. ***** and crew arrived on time and immediately wasted no time to get to work. There where eight small oak trees ( ****” dia.) and two oak monsters (18″- 30″ dia.) that where close to the house. Within less then 4.5 hours they had all trees down. The big pieces where hauled away in a truck and there “beast of chipper” filled up the back of another. They ground all the stumps to below ground level and they raked and cleaned the entire area. When they where done you can barely tell there was anything there. I commissioned five estimates from all local tree services and Southern Tree Expert was the most reasonable and the least lead time. I would highly recommend Southern Tree Experts for your tree issues and problems. I have three trees in backyard that I want gone in the winter and I will be calling them in the near future.

In all of our decades as homeowners, we have never been so surprised by the quality of service and attention to detail as we received from this company and crew. Our neighbor had a great experience with Southern Tree Experts so a week later we opted to get an estimate from Jamie (the owner) and decided to use their service as well. Daniel, Sean, Michael, Johnathan and Devin arrived right on time, walked the job site with us and went to work immediately. This was an all-day project that but they wrapped up a bit sooner than planned and here’s why. They brought all of the equipment needed to get high in the trees, to cut anything, and removed everything. They also brought panels to cover the lawn so there was zero damage to our yard from their equipment. They worked quickly because each man knew his job, what to do, and when to do it. They were all very professional, personable, and polite, stopping to ask our preference whenever there were options and to respond to any questions we had. When they left, our property was so much cleaner than when they arrived – not to mention the manicured look of their work. There is no finer group to work with in this area. Thanks guys.

I can’t say enough good things about this company! They were easy to communicate with, answered questions quickly and were so friendly. We had them remove several large trees and shrubs from our yard. It took them half a day to not only complete the job but also to thoroughly clean up afterwards, as if they were never here. They were $100 more than another estimate that we received but I just had a good feeling about them and I’m glad that I trusted my gut. Completely worth the little extra because they go above and beyond! Will be recommending them to anyone who asks!

We had Southern remove a large water oak between and threatening both houses. They carefully but quickly remove the branches then the smaller and larger trunks. Even trimming the smaller branches, there was a man on the roof to catch the branches before they dropped on the roof tiles-no chance for damage. They cleaned as they went and ground the stump deeper than I thought. There was little screaming or cussing and all the crew conducted themselves well all day. Two of my neighbors were so impressed that they hired him to work on their trees before he was finished. He gets 6 stars from me.

From beginning to end this company really impressed me. Workers were very professional and they took great care with cleaning up all the debris after they took down five Pine trees. I highly recommend Southern Tree Experts if you ever need work done with tree removal or whatever your yard needs.
